“We created this package to provide a very affordable way for groups to meet,” said Scott Selvaggi, the resort’s director of sales & marketing. “So now there is even more incentive to conduct a program at our newly renovated resort, which really is like a new property. When you combine this with the diversity of offerings available at our resort and in the area that appeal to golfers and non-golfers alike, the package is a great choice for groups.”

Located within the lush 6,300-acre World Golf Village right next to the World Golf Hall of Fame, the resort completed the comprehensive $10 million renovation in 2008. The project included the complete remodeling of all 301 guest rooms and suites, dramatic changes to the resort’s lobby atrium and entry area, remodeling all guest room corridors, an expanded fitness center with new state-of-the-art equipment, remodeling of its billiard room, and enhancements to the meeting space and business center. The resort also remodeled its restaurant and bar, which opened as a new restaurant and bar called 500 South.

Guest rooms and suites feature a contemporary design with an Asian feel, which includes rich red bed coverings with crisp white linens, and warm neutral gold accents. In-room offerings include flat-panel screen LCD HDTV televisions; the signature Marriott JackPack, which provides connectivity for laptops, MP3 players, digital cameras, and video game players; high-speed Internet access; two telephones with data ports; a wet bar; refrigerator; and in-room coffee.

The resort features a dramatically remodeled 10-story atrium lobby, which has a Colonial/Asian theme, as well as a colorful 7-story modern hanging sculpture that captures the wind and air elements, reminiscent of open Florida skies.

Featuring a wealth of recreational offerings that appeal to golfers and non-golfers alike, the resort enables you to play golf on two of the country’s finest golf courses (King & Bear, and Slammer & Squire), experience the renowned PGA TOUR Golf Academy, relax on a nearby beach, and explore the wonders of America’s oldest city, St. Augustine. In addition, groups and guests are an easy walk to The World Golf Hall of Fame, the ultimate destination for the celebration of golf’s greatest players, with fun interactive exhibits and historic golf artifacts.

On-site offerings at The Renaissance Resort include an indoor professional golf simulator, a sauna, pool, hot tub, and full-service concierge. Guests also are an easy walk to The World Golf Hall of Fame’s 18-hole putting course, the 132-yard Island Challenge Hole, an IMAX® Theater, and the Walk of Champions.
