ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (August 2010) – If you are an active or retired member of the U.S. military, a U.S. firefighter, or a U.S. law enforcement officer – and you like to golf – you should definitely consider taking advantage of the “American Hero Stay & Play Package” that is being offered by The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village in Northeast Florida.

The “American Hero Stay & Play Package” includes:  one round of golf on the resort’s renowned King & Bear championship course (co-designed by Arnold Palmer & Jack Nicklaus) or the popular Slammer & Squire championship course; deluxe accommodations for one night in a newly remodeled guest room; a ticket to the adjacent World Golf Hall of Fame per golfer; breakfast in the resort’s 500 South restaurant daily; and range balls. The rate for one golfer/one non-golfer in the room (or for one person in the room) is from $179 per room, per night. The rate for two golfers in the room is from $279 per room, per night. The offer is valid through September 30, 2010, based on availability.

For non-golfers who simply wish to stay at the lush resort, experience historic St. Augustine, visit the nearby sparkling Atlantic beaches, and/or take advantage of great shopping at nearby outlet malls, the resort is also offering a very nice “American Hero Rate,” which is also available to active or retired members of the U.S. military, U.S. police officers, and U.S. firefighters. The rate starts at just $89 per room, per night. In addition to deluxe accommodations in a newly remodeled guest room, the special rate also includes complimentary breakfast-for-two in the resort’s 500 South restaurant. The offer is valid through December 31, 2010, based on availability.

To take advantage of the special package or rate, you simply need to ask for the special package or rate upon booking, and then show your appropriate supporting ID upon check-in.
