the resort is offering a full set of golf clubs or 4-hour spa incentive
for new group business actualized in 2008

ST. AUGUSTINE, FL (May 2008) – The Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, located next to the World Golf Hall of Fame in St. Augustine, Florida, has just completed the final touches of its impressive $10 million property-wide renovation. The project included the complete remodeling of all 301 guest rooms and suites, dramatic changes to the resort’s lobby atrium, the remodeling and opening of a new restaurant and bar, new carpeting and wallcoverings for all guest room corridors, an expanded fitness center with new state-of-the art equipment, new lighting throughout the public spaces, new carpeting in the meeting space, and even the addition of a new “signature scent.”

In celebration of the renovation, the resort is offering incentives to groups booking new business that is actualized in 2008. Groups booking a piece of business that is worth more than $30,000 in contracted room and food & beverage revenue, and which is actualized in 2008, will earn their choice of a full set of golf clubs from the PGA TOUR STOP retail center, or a four-hour spa incentive at PGA TOUR Spa Laterra. The offer is based on space availability, and terms and conditions will apply. The set of clubs will be picked up at the time of the program, and the spa treatments are to be used at the time of the program.

Separately, the resort is also offering a complimentary coffee break for up to 100 people for new groups booked during “2008 Value Dates.” This offer is available to new groups contracting a minimum of 25 room nights during such Value Dates as June 1-30, July 1-31, August 1-31, September 2-16, September 28-30, and October 10-31, 2008, and may not be combined with the golf club/spa incentive offer. Additional dates may be available, and the offer is based on availability at the time of booking.

Together with the adjoining St. Johns County Convention Center and the adjacent World Golf Hall of Fame, the resort is the largest combination hotel and conference center between Atlanta and Orlando, with 86,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

“We’re very excited about the completion of this multi-million dollar renovation, which touched virtually every aspect of our resort,” said Mark Schwantner, general manager of the award-winning resort. “We’ve been receiving wonderful compliments from meeting professionals, incentive specialists, and attendees, who’ve expressed how much they love our greatly enhanced resort.”

“We’re giving away the set of golf clubs, and the spa services as a nice way to showcase the diverse offerings of our resort,” said Scott Selvaggi, director of sales & marketing for the resort. “Planners can use the golf clubs or spa services for themselves, or they can use them as a fun prize or incentive for their group. Or, they have the option of choosing a complimentary coffee break, if they prefer.”

Guest rooms and suites now feature all new furniture, soft goods, window treatments, and lighting. Guest rooms also boast new flat-panel screen LCD HDTV televisions, and the signature Marriott JackPack, which provides complete connectivity to the guests for laptops, MP3 players, digital cameras, and video game players. The new system also provides the option of listening to an MP3 player through the sound system.

The rooms and suites feature a contemporary design with an Asian feel, which includes rich red bed coverings with crisp white linens, along with a complementary color scheme of warm neutral gold. In-room offerings also include high-speed Internet access, two telephones with data ports, a wet bar and refrigerator, and in-room coffee.

Bathrooms in the guest rooms and suites feature all new vanities, lighting, and wallpaper in a more modern design, as well as new granite countertops. The wood vanities have been custom made, and offer a spa-like setting with niches for towels and other amenities.

All guest room corridors feature new carpeting with different shades of green accented by bright reds, blues and gold. Walls are covered in a rich, red wallcovering with gold accents, and new lighting illuminates the space.

The entry of the resort boasts beautiful new flooring, wood-wrapped columns, and accents of the Florida citrus colors.

The entry leads to a dramatically remodeled 10-story atrium lobby, which now has a Colonial/Asian theme with new furniture in hues of blue and green, new carpeting, new lighting, an enhanced waterfall and stream, and lush foliage (including bamboo) throughout to fit the Asian theme. Probably the most dramatic change to the atrium was the addition of a new 7-story modern hanging sculpture that captures the wind and air elements, reminiscent of open Florida skies.

In addition, the lobby features new conversational seating areas, which are also positioned near the resort’s bar. The bar was remodeled, and features a large center-standing TV, with new furniture in colors of vibrant red and orange with accents of bright green. The new restaurant, named 500 South, is adjacent and boasts a picturesque full-length wine wall, as well as colorful new furniture, warm wood tones and new lighting.

The resort’s 26,450-square-foot St. Augustine Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 2,700 guests for receptions or 3,000 theater-style, just received new carpet and wall finishes, as did the rest of the resort’s meeting space. The resort also added flex-back chairs for all meeting space.
